Fire Risk Assessments
Risk assessments are a legal requirement and are a gathering of information to record significant hazards and dangers.  The information recorded should assist you to develop an emergency plan; co-ordinate measures with other ‘responsible persons’ in the building; and to inform and train staff and inform other relevant persons.

Complete Fire Alarm Systems
An alarm system can be designed specifically for your needs and an exchange of information is vital to ensure that the system installed is sufficient and complys with any legislation.

We will assess all of your requirements taking into account,  zoning, smoke alarms, escape routes, call points and audible alarms.

Fire Doors
Fire doors are now a legal requirement within multiple residencies. These are designed hold back the fire for a certain period of time, therefore, allowing a smoke free escape to members of the public. Most doors will have smoke seals and a visual panel.

All doors must display signs showing that they are a fire door and must be kept shut in order for them to work efficiently in the event of a fire.
Inspection and Testing & Annual Servicing and Maintenance

DigiFire can carry out six monthly and annual testing on all fire alarm systems and emergency lighting.  All zones will be checked and fire extinguishers tested and replaced if necessary.

Emergency Lighting
Regulations state that all buildings must be provided with emergency lighting and that it is signage is displayed to show this.
Escape routes should be illuminated when the main electricity supply fails. A risk assessment should be drawn up to assess the escape routes and all members of the public within these buildings should be made aware of the procedure.

Signage
We can provide signs to reflect all of your needs from fire doors to exit doors. We can also fit these as per your request.

Smoke Alarms and Heat Detectors & Carbon Monoxide Detectors
Smoke alarms are self contained devices that incorporate a means of detecting a fire (smoke detector) and giving a warning (alarm). They are about the size of a hand and are normally fitted to the ceiling. They can detect fires in their early stages and give you those precious minutes to escape safety.

These would generally be mains powered and would be covered by any emergency power supply so that they would continue to work to ensure that they are heard and that escape can be made.

Carbon monoxide is odourless, poisonous gas. It can be given off by appliances that burn fossil fuels such as gas, coal, wood or oil, if they're not working properly, if the flue is blocked in any way, or if the room is not properly ventilated.

Detectors will be triggered if this deadly gas is detected and sound an alarm not dissimilar to the smoke alarm
